Itsy Bitsy heads to Trinidad.

I'm heading to Trinidad for Carnival tomorrow!! Very excited...going with my 2 best friends so it should definitely be an adventure we will never forget.

I will post tons of pictures when I get back.

If you purchase anything between the time I'm away, I will ship it out upon my return on Feb 27th...(sorry for the inconvenience.) As a reminder, there are messages all over my site so you don't forget.

When I get back, I will have swimsuits from Huit Paris available, as well as bras from their brand--the quality is amazing...seriously!

check out all the bargains on the site--there are still a ton available until I get back from my trip.

Petite Models for Petite items--makes sense, no?

Hi all,

I've been testing out using my petite friend to model some of the lingerie on www.ItsyBitsyBraBar.com

I wrote a blog about the experience on PetiteFashionista.com. A reader, Cynthia, also posted a blog about the who idea of using models that actually fit the target market:

It's a great question to raise during fashion week.

Bartering making a comeback..

There's an article on the NYTimes.com site about how bartering is making a comeback (the article goes in depth about the system in Russia: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/08/world/europe/08barter.html?_r=1&hp)

However, I too, have noticed small ways in which I've been doing some "small-scale" bartering, particularly now that I have a small business. Before, I never really had much to barter--Sure I had a solid education, video/interviewing/people skills, but no one ever seemed to care!

I actually bartered yesterday. My friend Monica modelled a few products for my website, http://www.itsybitsybrabar.com/. Being a small business owner, will an almost non-existet budget, I didn't really have an monetary compensation for her...SO, instead I gave her some undies!! (She adamantly refused to even take it, until I, in turn, adamantly INSISTED that she take the darn things!!)

Also, my best friend Alisia, works in marketing. She's my pro-bono marketing genius. She's got talent, so I use it...and because she's like family, she'll glady do it without even thinking about wanting something in return..(with Alisia, being fed, entertained by my charming personality, and me calling her a taxi is enough compensation...or so I tell myself.)

Anyway, the point of this long-winded blabbering is that for anyone looking to do, or buy anything, this "bartering" thing may offer you a few alternative solutions that you didn't have before. If you are a makeup artist, do makeup for someone and get some exposure in return, etc. There are so many creative, out-of-the-box ideas that people are willing to try in these times. So even if you don't have tons of money, how can you get something by giving something?

If anyone has any cool bartering stories...would love to hear!

There's been a new activity in the past few days on facebook that appears to be all the rage...

Valentine's Day!

Well, for single girls it's time for probably the most dreaded "HOLIDAY" of the year...Valentine's Day. Having been single (and quite frankly, bitter) for the majority of Valentine's Days so far, I can say that dammit, EVERYDAY is suppose to be Valentine's Day!!

HOWEVER, let's face it ladies...men are..men...and after they stop trying to Woo you with sweet nothings, a sort of routine takes over, and takes away the random flowers, chocolates, and presents which he used to give you just for being you. SOOO, this is your one day to remind him just how lucky he is to have you in his life.

How are you going to do that? Buy yourself some pretty lingerie and underwear (all courtesy of his credit card, of course!)

If you're petite, www.ItsyBitsyBraBar.com has something perfect and affordable (if you want to go easy on the guy), or high end (some great new silk/lace items from the Fleur'T brand in England just arrived.)

Or, if you're single (like me)...get yourself some nice jewelry accesories and treat yourself to a night out on the town with some of your best friends.
And if THEY have men...well, go out anyway, and be the confident, successful, little woman you know you are!
